As a US Border Patrol Agent, its great to know that people actually support our efforts. As an Agent in Harlingen, Texas it seemed people thought of us in contempt.
It is very difficult to do our job, when everywhere you look or turn, people are attacking our efforts. Immigrant Right's groups are continually harassing our agents and claiming ridiculous and frivolous accusations.
Even though personally I have arrested 5000 illegal aliens and 10,000 lbs of cocaine and Marijuanna since January 1999, people here feel we are a nuisance. As you could probably tell, it does seem to become disheartning.
The US Border Patrol continues to do their best in combating the flood of illegal aliens, and narcotics but we must do our job with one arm tied behind our backs. Our country needs more voice from the silent majority, and I am very pleased with this web site. If I can ever be of assistance in anyway providing you with any inside info, please ask.
